“We believe in GOTMA! Every child should grow up with confidence and self-esteem, and furthermore, every child should feel like they have a place where they belong. Rick and Tammi Hartman have a drive to help children, and this cause is worth supporting, which is why we donated this website to help them spread awareness of GOTMA to help the children of South Florida.” ~ Guy Monticello, Co-Owner/Co-Founder Tinzi Marketing.

What makes GOTMA different?
There are many not-for-profits associated with the martial arts. Some help students with college tuition; some are set up by a school owner to help special needs or underprivileged kids in their community, at their school. GOTMA helps kids and families in elementary and secondary schools, long before college. GOTMA works with multiple martial arts schools and organizations and is an interdisciplinary in scope .
Why is that better?
Many times it’s true that there are geographic pockets of need that these localized organizations address. GOTMA has a broader view. Without excluding these schools, GOTMA screens multiple schools and school owners in multiple locations to be sure the service they are providing meets or exceeds our high standards. GOTMA affiliates mainstream students providing an environment of inclusion, tolerance and social awareness for everyone. Families can be sure they are placing their child(ren) in an organization that truly cares about the wellbeing of each child regardless of which Martial Arts system or style they use to teach. GOTMA schools and affiliated organizations have many years of experience in working with students and in many styles of martial arts and have personally underwritten the expense of scholarshiping students because they believe in people.
It has long been accepted and understood that the discipline of training in Martial Arts helps each child find their inner greatness. GOTMA helps by paying qualifying schools/organizations for qualified students’ participation. Qualifying activities would include martial arts lessons, demonstration team participation, and tournament competition.
Focused students are less likely to get in trouble than those with less direction and too much unstructured time on their hands. Martial arts combines art with athleticism, thereby developing the body, mind and spirit of participants. Martial arts allow everyone to play. “Game day action” is not reserved for the most gifted, and since there is no season for martial arts, it can help keep practitioners focused on their goals year-round.
Martial Arts has long been credited for building self confidence and self esteem in our young people. Youth with these attributes are less likely be become victims or bullies. GOTMA supports Bully Awareness programs.
Your gift to GOTMA is tax deductible, whether financial or “in kind”. It is appreciated not only by the students who are supported by your gift, but also by the schools and organizations who will be able to reach out to more families. Students of the martial arts make better students in general, their grades improve as their self esteem and focus increase. They are less likely to become victims as their confidence rises, and become good citizens. Please help us help our youth.
Please support GOTMA with your donations and volunteer efforts and help us reach out to more underprivileged and special needs children and build a better future one kick at a time.
